Surviving Summer
Artists, we'd love to have you as part of our upcoming exhibition! Show & submission info below.
Arizona Summers are not for the faint of heart.
They are bold, relentless, and occasionally ridiculous. We dash between air-conditioned sanctuaries. We cook dinner outdoors because turning on the oven feels like betrayal. We carry water bottles like prized possessions and half joke about frying eggs on the sidewalk.
Surviving Summer is a witty, irreverent, and honest reflection of how locals endure and adapt to the Arizona heat. This show invites artists to capture the humor, resilience, beauty, and reality of summer in the desert. Think creative coping strategies, exaggerated truths, everyday rituals, desert humor, and visual storytelling that only locals truly understand.
We are seeking wall art in all media, including painting, photography, mixed media, illustration, printmaking, and more. Original works and prints will both be considered.
