Golden Hour

Golden Hour isn't simply the hour before sunset.

It's the feeling of warmth after laughter with friends. The quiet glow through a favorite window. The pause at the end of a long day. The wonder of discovering beauty where you least expect it. It's a moment that invites us to slow down, be present, and appreciate the extraordinary hidden within the everyday.

This exhibition celebrates those moments.

We invite artists to interpret Golden Hour in their own unique way. Whether inspired by radiant landscapes, human connections, quiet reflection, vibrant color, abstract emotion, or memories that continue to glow long after they've passed.

We welcome work that evokes warmth, wonder, light, and presence.

Join us in creating an exhibition that invites visitors to linger a little longer, look a little closer, and rediscover the beauty that surrounds us every day.

We are seeking wall art in all media, including painting, photography, mixed media, fiber, illustration, printmaking, and more. Original works and prints will both be considered.

Our gallery is focused on creating an Arizona feel. While art for this show doesn't have to specifically be of Arizona, we do want to avoid themes around beaches, exotic vacations, tropics…things that are obviously outside of AZ. Themes of religion and politics will not be considered. 

Richau & Co welcomes submissions in all mediums from Arizona-based artists. We are seeking work that embraces creativity, visual impact, and a fresh perspective on one of the year's most colorful seasons.

Submission Requirements

Artists must be local to Arizona and able to deliver artwork in person during the designated delivery window and pick up during pick up window if not sold. 

Please submit the following:

  • At least 2 clear, quality photos of the art including a straight on shot
  • Description of subject matter
  • Size of artwork
  • Medium
  • Frame material (if applicable)
  • Retail price range (all works must be for sale. Richau & Co has a 50/50 split)
  • Short artist bio
  • Instagram/Socials/Website or other online portfolio link to your works, if any


All artwork must meet the following standards:

  • Wall art only
  • Hang-ready with wire or hook
  • Prints must be framed or presented in sleeves (preferably matted)

We are seeking wall art in all media, including painting, photography, mixed media, illustration, printmaking, and more. Original works and prints will both be considered.

Important Exhibition Dates

  • Submissions Due: Sept 15
  • Selection Notifications: Sept 19
  • Art Delivery: Sept 27-30. To be delivered between normal operating hours unless other arrangements are made.
  • Art Show Opening: Oct 02
  • Golden Hour Artist Reception: Oct 05, 12-2pm. Attendance not required, but highly encouraged.
  • Show Conclusion: Jan 31.
  • Art pick up: Jan 29-31

Upon delivery, artists may be asked to make a short intro video for our social media promotions.
