This painting shows the connection and love between the woman and the Arizona desert through visual clues.

A woman with an ocotillo shrub headdress stands in a flowing; polka-dotted dress. Her body gesture gives you a sense that she is connected to a surreal desert landscape that features the Superstition Mountains and cactus.

We love the McFarland’s surrealist style. The dusky mountains in the backdrop and soft colors add to the mystery of the woman, creating wonder and intrigue.
